How do I register?

Registration is very easy on BetCity — enter the required details and click submit, verify your account with an OTP sent to your mobile number and just like that you are part of the BetCity family.

How do I log in?

Logging in to your BetCity account is easy. Enter your mobile number or email and the password you created and just like that you’re in your BetCity account.

How do I reset my password?

Enter your mobile number or email address used to register and we will send you an SMS with a link to reset your password. Click on the link, enter a new password, then log in with your new credentials.

Do I have to deposit immediately after signing up?

No, you can deposit at your convenience and when you are ready to have some fun.

Do I take on any obligations by registering?

No, registering does not require you to make deposits or place bets. However, by signing up you agree to our General Terms and Conditions.

Can I change my details after registering?

Yes, but you may need to provide additional documentation. Contact support for assistance.

How do I deposit?

At BetCity we have various deposit options. Click on “My Account” and select “Deposit”, then select the deposit method of your choice.

What deposit options are available?

We have a variety of deposit options including:

  • EFT (from the bank of your choice)

  • Debit or Credit card
  • 1Voucher, OTT Voucher, EasyPay Voucher and Blu Voucher

How do I withdraw?

Withdrawing funds on BetCity is easy. Make sure you have entered the correct bank details or cellphone number you want to withdraw to. Select bank transfer or instant withdrawal as preferred. Your account must be FICA verified before you can request a withdrawal.

When will my withdrawal pay out?

Once you have requested a withdrawal it will be reviewed and all details provided will be verified. Depending on the amount, the withdrawal could be paid immediately.

Why was my withdrawal cancelled or rejected?

There may be a few reasons such as outstanding FICA requirements. Please contact our support team to get more information.

How do I change my bank details?

Provide a copy of your bank statement dated within the last 3 months, or any valid proof of your bank account in your name, and contact support to update your details.

Why do I need to FICA my account?

We need to verify that you are the account holder and to process your withdrawals. FICA compliance is also a legal requirement under South African law.

How do I FICA verify my account?

To FICA verify your account we require the following documents:

  • A certified copy of your ID; or a copy of your passport (or visa / Permit / Asylum Seeker Permit confirming you are legally in South Africa).
  • Proof of bank details or a bank statement not older than 3 months.

FICA documents can be submitted via email or live chat.

Do you have a sign-up bonus?

We do not offer a sign-up bonus, however we do have a welcome deposit bonus where we match your deposit and offer 50 free spins as well. Please check the Promotions page for more information.

How do I use the Welcome Bonus?

  1. Sign up for an account.
  2. Go to the Bonuses section and activate your bonus.
  3. Make a deposit to receive the bonus.
  4. Before playing, choose bonus funds or real money.
  5. If you select bonus funds, use them first — your real money stays safe until bonus funds are finished.

How do I get a promo code?

Visit our Promotions page at betcity.co.za/promotions. Please note, a minimum deposit within the last 24 hours is required to claim our bonuses.

How do I use my bonus funds?

Once you have claimed your bonus, you can use the funds on selected games listed in the bonus terms and conditions. We have both sport bonuses and casino bonuses. All bonuses come with wagering or turnover requirements — check the bonus T&Cs before use.

Can I cancel a bonus?

Yes, at any time. You lose only unused bonus funds. Your real deposited money stays in your account and is not forfeited. After cancelling, wager your real money just 1x to withdraw.

Why is BetCity better than traditional bonuses?

Traditional bonuses mix everything — cancelling or losing can risk your deposit. BetCity keeps bonus and real money separate, so you stay in full control.

What is wagering / turnover?

The wagering requirement is the amount you need to play through with your bonus funds before you can withdraw any winnings. Once met, your bonus funds convert to real money and transfer to your main wallet. If you do not win while using the bonus, the bonus is lost but there is no wagering to complete.

Example: a R50 bonus with a 40x wagering requirement means you need to play through a total of R2,000.00.

Why can’t I withdraw my bonus winnings?

Bonus offerings come with wagering requirements that must be fulfilled before a withdrawal can be made. Once wagered, any remaining amount transfers to your Main wallet. You can track your progress in the Bonuses section under Casino.

Can I close my account?

Yes. Log in, select My Account and choose to close your account. You can also select a Time Out or Self-Exclusion. Our support team is available to assist you with account closure if required.

What is the difference between a Timeout and Self-Exclusion?

A Time Out is a temporary break from gaming. You can select a period from 24 hours to as long as you need.

A Self-Exclusion is an indefinite ban from gaming. You can request upliftment after 6 months, subject to attending counselling and providing an upliftment certificate.

What is a Single Bet?

A Single bet is a straightforward bet where you predict an outcome and specify a stake. If your prediction is correct, your winnings are calculated by multiplying the odds by your stake.

What is a Multibet and how is it calculated?

A Multibet consists of two or more events — all must win for the bet to succeed. The total odds are calculated by multiplying the odds of each selection.

How do I place a Multiple Bet?

  1. Add the legs you want by selecting each market.
  2. Your selections will be added to the betslip.
  3. Toggle to “Multiple” at the top of the betslip.
  4. Enter the stake per leg. Pro tip: to take a straight all-to-come, select the Accumulator / 1 Bet option.
  5. Hit the “Bet Now” button to submit.

Which bets can be combined into a Multibet?

Most bets can be combined, except for specific bets such as certain Formula 1 wagers. The system will notify you of any restrictions when placing bets.

What types of multiple bets are available?

  • Double — 2 selections in different events. Both must win.
  • Treble — 3 selections in different events. All must win.
  • Four-fold — 4 selections. All must win.
  • Five-fold — 5 selections. All must win.

What is a Handicap?

A Handicap gives an advantage or disadvantage to a selection before the event starts (positive, negative or zero). Example: if a football match ends 1–1 and you bet on Handicap (+2), the adjusted score is 3–1 and your bet wins.

Can I bet on horse racing?

Yes. BetCity offers all types of horse racing markets.

Can I bet on lucky numbers?

Yes. BetCity offers lucky numbers including UK 49 numbers and all other types of lucky number betting.

Can I play casino and live games?

Yes. We offer a wide range of casino and live games with new titles added regularly. Each game includes a tutorial link so you can learn the basics before playing. All casino and live games can be accessed via the Casino link on our site.

Why are games getting stuck or not loading?

Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then try again. For the best experience, use Google Chrome in incognito mode. If the issue persists, contact support.

Do you have an app?

Currently we do not have a dedicated app due to the constant changes that occur in the iGaming space. Our website is fully mobile-optimised and available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for a near-app experience on your device.
